I am told that an essay of mine will indeed be included in this new anthology, which I think will be released in September from Chronicle Books. As I’ve been feeling highly maternally imperfect lately, it’s fitting.
I am working on an essay for Babble right now about what the trend toward highly confessional “bad parent” essays and blogs from mothers says about us as a culture, and asking the question of what it means these days to really, truly be a bad parent, in the most traditional, literal sense of the term.

I think that is an incredibly interesting topic. Personally, I think with the abundance of information out there on the “internets”, there are (too?) many rules, making at least some of us rule-breakers.
