Dear Close Friends and Family,
I know I’ve been working a whole lot lately, and sometimes, you have probably wondered whether those times I told you I was “working late at the office,” I was actually partying it up somewhere, or perhaps spending time with the super-secret, “other” family I have stashed away in Pigeon Forge.
But maybe after you read this, you’ll feel more confident that all that time at work you’ve tolerated from me lately is actually serving some purpose, and you will be more secure in the fact that when I tell you I have an “after hours meeting with a potential client,” that’s not just a euphemism for “having a midlife crisis while sitting on a barstool somewhere downtown.” In other words, you don’t have to worry that when I say “I have to work late,” it’s really my own, Katie-centric way of saying, “I’ve been hiking the Appalachian Trail.”
Love,
Kate
