More will be revealed… (and I love what I do)

I get to work with lots of great bloggers on various projects that I either produce or am a part of, but I am especially enjoying having the opportunity to work with Heather Armstrong on something ridiculously neat-o & innovative. She’s just as wickedly funny & nice as her bazillions of readers find her to be on her blog and elsewhere. (Nope, can’t spill just yet, but if you are a Dooce fan, you will love this. Stay tuned…)

  1. That’s awesome! I love Dooce and have been reading for years.

  2. I dunno – I think I’m missing something. I find Dooce to be incredibly boring. Not offensive, not bad, not crazy – just … she doesn’t seem to have anything interesting to say.

  3. I think Dooce is an acquired taste but I have now acquired it. I have a friend who is a huge Heather Armstrong fan and she kept trying to get me to read the blog. I tried a few times but wasn’t into it. Then when my last baby was born and I started reading it at about the same time her new baby was born I got hooked. I am also now a huge Dooce fan and recommend her to everyone. I cant wait to hear what Katie is working on with her.

  4. Lauren, that may be it – but I don’t have the time to follow a blog I find boring in order to acquire a taste for it. I know lots and lots of people love Dooce, and every so often I think, “OK, I’ll check her out again,” and I do. And she’s still boring. Maybe if I stuck with her for weeks and weeks, I’d get it – but I just have better things to do.

  5. Clisby, I kind of agree with you, but for some reason, I’m addicted to reading Dooce. I don’t even have kids. I don’t know why I read her blog OR Katie’s blog, but somehow I’m now hooked on both! I do love Dooce’s Daily Style shots, and her photography in general, but it doesn’t explain how she holds such sway over me. At least with Katie I can reassure myself that I like to read her opinions on issues outside of parenting…but I’m starting to worry that the nesting instinct is expressing itself first through stalking mom-blogs!!!

  6. Yep, Amanda, you’re in some kind of danger here!

I like Katie’s blog, but if all she posted about was parenting and kids, she’d be boring, too.

  7. I’ve been reading Dooce (26!) for years. I love her writing, especially her posts to Leta. Is there a better idea than “Monetize the Hate”?

My two cents on where to take her (and what to avoid) while she’s in Knoxville: http://www.500jerk.com/2009/11/dooce.html.

    HELLO TO DOOCE!
