A month or two ago, I blogged about my role in putting together the new relationship between HGTV and Heather Armstrong of dooce.com.

Last night HGTV and Heather launched another element of the convergence platform that I helped develop – the first of several “Watch With Heather” Twitter parties in which viewers were able to interact with Heather via Twitter as they all watched the premiere of HGTV’s “Home Rules” together.

This first WWH Twitter party was a great success, with more than 2,400 Twitter fans already following Heather over at her new @HGTVHeather Twitter handle, and an active conversation taking place during the show last night via the #watch HGTV hashtag.

The next Watch With Heather Twitter party will be Thursday night during the season premiere of “Tough as Nails” on HGTV at 9:30PM EST. Hope to see you there!
