Please pray for my sweet son H, who is in critical condition following a major drug overdose and a brutal assault. He is on a ventilator and in a medically induced coma to try to bring down widespread swelling in his brain due to a period of time with low/no oxygen. He aspirated and his lungs are injured badly. The next few days critical for him.

Oh no. So very sad for you and your family. I will be keeping your sweet family in my heart and prayers. Take care of yourself. If I can do anything let me know…sit with other children, cook dinner etc!

I am so, so sorry. I have been through many medical scares with my husband, but I cannot even begin to imagine what this must be like for you. Henry and your family are in my prayers. Damn.

Katie, You don’t know me, but I have been reading your blog for over a year. I am sitting here in tears after just reading your post about your son H. You and your family will be in my prayers.
Your news is devastating and all parents feel your pain but few of us have experienced it. Life has dealt H a terrible hand. I hope beyond hope that H’s body and his doctors can get him through these injuries and on to recovery.

how heartbreaking, Katie, i don’t know what to say other than my thoughts and prayers are with you and everyone who loves dear Henry.
I’m so sorry. I’m praying for your boy and hope he starts to recover quickly. It’s amazing what young brains can do in these circumstances. My beautiful daughter has a brain injury from Meningitis and has surpassed all of the doctors predictions. Hold strong.
