A statement from our family regarding recent releases of info by authorities investigating Henry’s death.
Thank you to all media outlets, reporters and thoughtful, responsible bloggers who have continued asking the hard but necessary questions that will help us find the answers we need to be sure that Henry’s death is fully and honestly investigated.
Thank you again also to all the many hardworking Knoxville and Knox County law enforcement officers who work at dangerous, underappreciated jobs every single day, keeping our community safe. You are very, very much appreciated by our family.
I am so sorry that it has had to come to this. You are doing the right thing for Henry though and I hope that Justice will be served. He was a very lucky boy to have such a wonderful loving family who cares enough to press on and have the cowards who ultimately caused his death pay for it. Praying for you and your family's strength during this time.
It is ridiculous that you have to go to this level, at a time like this. I'm sorry that you are going through this. Henry was a lucky kid to have such a loving, courageous, amazing family who is willing to fight for him and for what's right. My heart is with you and your family at this difficult time.
A part of me is aching for you. A part of me is mad for you! A part of me wants to help you fight for right. I have wanted to post something on my blog, but I didn't want it to interfere with anything going on with Henry's investigation. We know Henry was loved and cared for compassionately by his family. I pray that justice is served and soon on Henry's behalf.
I know this is small comfort, but I lifted you and your family, along with the struggle, up in church today.
