E is apparently on the Social Committee at camp (the camp posts new photos each day for parents. These are from last night). E is in the orange stripes in the middle.

Here are the boys of the Social Committee, roses in hand, ready to greet the ladies of their sister camp before the dance.

E presents his rose to a lucky girl who looks quite pleased ;-)

  1. She is a luckly girl to be chosen for the rose. So cute. So sweet.

  2. That looks like fun. E. is darling.

  3. Cute! Camp, in general, is such a comfortable place to be. I hope/bet he finds it therapeutic.

  4. I used to be a full-time program director at a camp. (Actually, at one of those camps in Mentone. I will refrain from saying which one because my experience with greedy owners was not a good one. Loved the kids, though.) Anyway. I was just wondering how E.’s counselors were prepared for having him under their care? Presumably they knew about Henry, right? I had a kid in my cabin once who had lost a parent just a couple of months before coming to camp, and she wanted to talk about it with me a lot (I think the fact that we were at church camp influenced that a lot, since she wanted to talk about whether her daddy was in Heaven, etc.) and I was happy to do that. Luckily, her mom had sent me a note explaining the situation and it would be better for me to let her talk and give her as much support as I could. I just wondered what your decisions about this had been. Please don’t feel obligated to answer my question, I’m just being nosy.

I don’t know you, except through your blog, but I wanted you to know that my prayers are with you and your family.

  5. What a doll! I love his sweet, mildly self-conscious grin.

  6. It makes me so happy to see him smile!

  7. How cute is he? So fun being a mom to boys!
