For the 18-24 months that I had my ‘Droid, I was really starting to get into the ‘Droid-available point and shoot photography apps that allowed me to take the kinds of photos I’ve always wanted to take with the big, expensive, and complicated digital Nikon SLR I inherited from my father, but have yet to figure out how to use. But I think I was starting to get some decent shots with the ‘Droid.
Now that I have an iPhone 4, noted as a pretty darn good camera in its own right, I am in wannabe “real” photographer heaven. I’ve downloaded five or six camera-geek apps already, and so far I’m loving the Plastic Bullet “toy camera” app the best. Also, I am going to have to come right out and admit to y’all that I am now obsessed with Instagram. Although Instagram has been up and running for a year now, it’s new to me since I did not previously have an iPhone, and it’s hands-down my favorite new social media platform discovery since I logged onto Twitter for the first time, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Haha, I can so relate! I don't play Words with Friends or Angry Birds like so many iPhone users do, but I am *obsessed* with the faux-artsy photography! I love Instagram (PowersOfMine) but my new obsession is the Camera+ app. Enjoy!

Katie I am sucking at this photography for my blog business. I have an iphone 4 and I take HORRIBLE pictures with it! No matter which angle I use my neck always looks gobbly and when I tried to photograph our cute sailing instructor the other day his Zack Ephron face was so dark I couldn't see it! Nevermore to dwell in those green eyes. I've downloaded Hipstamatic and am wondering what fresh fuckery will ensue.

You do have Hipstamatic, don't you? It was my most favorite thing ever about my iPhone, before Instagram. I just love it so much! But yes, the plastic bullet app and toy camera one is super fun. Hooray for iPhone fun!
