Five year old C made this cute little fella out of items she found in her crafts box. She says it’s what her big brother Henry looks like now that he’s in heaven. I think she just may be spot-on.

I lost my 29 yr old son, my only child, in the summer of 2009. Sometimes, I still can't sleep, and stay up late, googling all kinds of variations on "I miss my son," or "death of a child," thinking that somewhere, there's an answer, some bit of extra comfort to ease my pain. But it never works, not really. Still, I appreciate moms like you, who try to help themselves and others with their sharing. Though I wouldn't wish this on anyone, it is good to feel less alone with it.
Your Henry was, like my son, a very bright, beautiful, beloved boy. I send you all my best wishes as you and your loved ones move forward from this tragedy.
@Mary – There must be a lot of us Googling those exact words and phrases late at night when we can't sleep. I am one on the people doing it. I also find myself up at 1 am reading Near Death Experiences and arguments by physicists for the existence of consciousness beyond death.
