My new, much stronger glasses that I got tonight, along with some very weird and worrying news about the state of my eyeballs.

After I got home from work this evening, I accidentally stomped on/destroyed my banged-up old glasses, which needed (badly) to be swapped out for a stronger Rx anyway. So Jon duct taped the broken specs together just well enough for me to drive over to the mall optometrist for a late night eye exam,and a new pair of one hour glasses.

However, to my unhappy surprise, the optomestrist not only told me that I did indeed need a much stronger pair of specs to replace the broken ones,, he also informed me that I have…. CATARACTS (!!!), as well as something he called “macular lesions” developing in both eyes, and he says that I need to see an eye specialist immediately.
