I blogged over at Babble last night about my reticence to let go of the idea of C as a “baby,” and accept that she’s really sort of a toddler now.
And here is some bonus cuteness for your viewing enjoyment. These were all taken within the last 12 weeks. Look how her curls have grown!
The photo of C and NC playing piano together is my favorite. They are so unbelievably funny and adorable together – like little monkey twins. They absolutely worship each other, and get so excited when they see one another, even if it’s after an absence of only a few hours.
I also get a kick out of the fact that in every photo of her sleeping, she’s dribbling milk out the corner of her mouth

Today is the day that C gets her first pair of “real” shoes.
My cousin J is doing everything right, and still not getting quite enough milk. She’s soliciting suggestions.
The baby is here!
Born Thursday afternoon.
9 lbs and 1.3 ounces
22 inches
I just saw a photo and he is GORGEOUS!
Yay!!!!!
Today is a very special one for our family! J and J are on their way to another state to meet and bring home their newborn son, who is being born as I type this.
I woke to calls and e-mails from family members, letting me know the exciting news.
I know that their son, W, who passed away at age 2 in 2005, is smiling down on them today, happy to see his beloved mama so happy.
Please keep their family, and their baby, in your thoughts and prayers today.
In which my husband opines against the ubiquitous baby stroller.
What really gets me are the times when a baby or toddler is strapped into a stroller or a baby bucket in a shopping cart or a store or something, and the baby is fussing and crying, and the parent just ignores it and doesn’t take the child out of the thing. That makes my hair stand on end.
Baby & puppy flashback: remember when Leo and C. were a lot smaller? This was only seven or eight months ago:
